Statement of Faith

Following Christ is central to everything we do as a company.

In order to make clear what we believe, every Rhetoric LLC team member affirms the following statement of faith:

We, staff of Rhetoric LLC wholeheartedly affirm that we believe:

There is one God who exists eternally in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is a Spirit, in and of Himself infinite in being, glory, blessedness, and perfection; all-sufficient, eternal, unchangeable, incomprehensible, everywhere present, almighty, knowing all things, most wise, most holy, most just, most merciful and gracious, long-suffering, and abundant in goodness and truth.

All Scripture is breathed out by God, and is the only inerrant, infallible rule for faith and practice. The entirety of Scripture consists of the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments.

God created everything out of nothing. God created man, male and female, in his image. Everything God created was good.

Through the sin of Adam, all mankind fell. Thus, man is by nature sinful and in need of salvation.

Jesus took on human flesh and was born of a virgin. Jesus Christ is true God and true man. He lived a perfectly righteous life, was crucified, and died for our sin. He rose from the dead on the third day. He ascended into heaven, is seated at the right hand of the Father, and will return to judge the living and the dead.

God, in His grace and mercy, gives salvation freely to those who trust in Christ. We are saved by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. We are justified by Christ’s perfect righteousness and his death on the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice for our sins.

Because we have been justified, we are called to be sanctified. We are to put to death our sin daily, and strive for righteousness in Christ. We each endeavor to love God with our whole heart, soul, mind, and strength, and to love our neighbor as ourselves. Although we still sin, we confess and repent from our sins and continue to trust in God for forgiveness.

God is worthy of all worship, glory, and praise, forever and ever. Amen.
